DISRUPTION THE CHROs NEXT PAIN POINT?
CHROs are facing a new normal: disruption. According to AlixPartners’ Disruption Index, 60 % of CHROs say they are facing high levels of disruption – a number equivalent to that of CEOs. Only 46 % of Chief Information Officers and 37 % of Chief Financial Officers say they are experiencing similar levels. Technology transformation could be the culprit. AlixPartners finds that those leaders most concerned about organisational disruption are involved in ongoing AI adoption programmes, suggesting C-suite anxiety may be a symptom of increased innovation. David Garfield, Co-CEO of the consulting firm, says:“ When disruption is a permanent fact of business life – inevitable, but also unpredictable – companies need a proactive approach that allows them to shape events, not merely respond to them.”
