THE BRIEFING
CHAMPIONING EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT
Gallup has announced its 20th annual Exceptional Workplace Awards winners, celebrating the companies that saw exceptional employee engagement in 2025. According to Gallup, these businesses have 14 engaged employees for every one actively disengaged employee, which is 12 times the global average. The companies that made the list are those who“ intentionally create cultures where employees feel valued, heard and empowered to perform”, says Gallup. One such winner was Abbott, which has around 115,000 employees across more than 160 countries. The company’ s people strategy is centred around hiring top talent that is representative of the people it works with, while prioritising upskilling to help employees progress in their careers and move into new roles across the company.
A strong company culture doesn’ t happen by chance; it’ s built through everyday actions, shared values and a genuine commitment to people
