Discussing workforce readiness at the 2026 Cisco AI Summit, Francine Katsoudas, Chief People, Policy and Purpose Officer at Cisco, shared that she believes work is evolving faster than skills.

Cisco has developed the AI Workforce Consortium to assess the skills needed for technology roles.

Francine said:“ We looked at how skills were evolving and the fact that we haven’ t done that before tells me that this is such a unique moment.”

She continued:“ We found that 78 % of roles, technology roles, now require AI skills. So, the shift isn ' t coming, but the shift is already here.”
